Job Description:
Microsoft’s Office of Strategy and Transformation is seeking a
Senior Director, Enterprise Transformation to help advance
Microsoft’s evolution into a Frontier Firm - defined by the ability
to continuously learn, rapidly improve, and scale value creation
through AI and operational excellence. This role sits at the center
of the company’s most critical transformation priorities. Our team
uses Continuous Improvement (CI) as our core operating system. We
apply structured problem solving, systems thinking, and data-driven
execution to complex, enterprise-wide challenges. While we leverage
CI methodologies, traditional Lean or CI backgrounds are not
required. What matters is a demonstrated ability to think
rigorously, lead complex work systematically, and deliver
measurable outcomes. We look for leaders who are never satisfied
with the status quo, can manage multiple priorities under pressure,
and will deliver results at pace. As a leader on the CI team, you
will tackle complex, enterprise-wide problems, modernize end-to-end
workflows, and embed AI-enabled operating models that improve
quality, speed, and business performance. You will influence senior
leaders across the organization, create clarity amid ambiguity, and
build momentum behind Microsoft’s most strategic transformations.
If you thrive at the intersection of strategy, operations, AI, and
large-scale change, this is an opportunity to do the most
consequential work of your career—helping shape how a modern,
AI-powered enterprise operates. Microsoft’s mission is to empower
every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more.
As employees, we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to
empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each
day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and
accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can
thrive at work and beyond. Responsibilities Lead enterprise-level
transformation: manage across a portfolio of engagements—define the
work, align stakeholders, and orchestrate cross-functional teams to

critical business processes that span organizational boundaries to
deliver step-function improvements. Translate strategy into
execution: establish clarity and operational rigor by translating
priorities into clear plans, operating mechanisms, and measurable
goals. Build cross-org alignment: facilitate outcome-driven Kaizen
events with senior leaders and teams to align priorities, surface
tradeoffs, and drive clear decisions and results. Remove barriers
and build momentum: identify structural blockers, enable
decision-making, and maintain momentum across complex
organizational boundaries. Accelerate outcomes through AI and
insights: use data-driven insights to prioritize action, measure
results, and iteratively refine designs at scale. Champion change
leadership and culture: shape a culture of ownership,
collaboration, and continuous improvement that accelerates impact.
Develop and lead a high-impact team: coach talent to think
critically, operate systemically, and deliver results that
transform the business. Embody our Culture and Values in all work.
