Here at Amazon, we embrace our differences. We are committed to

within the organization. How do you get items to customers quickly,
cost-effectively, and—most importantly—safely, in less than an
hour? And how do you do it in a way that can scale? Our teams of
hundreds of scientists, engineers, aerospace professionals, and
futurists have been working hard to do just that! We are delivering
to customers, and are excited for what’s to come. Check out more

If you are seeking an iterative environment where you can drive
innovation, apply state-of-the-art technologies to solve real world
delivery challenges, and provide benefits to customers, Prime Air
is the place for you. Come work on the Amazon Prime Air Team! Prime
Air is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Engineer who combines
technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability
to get the right things done quickly and effectively. We’re looking
for people who innovate and love solving hard problems. You will
work hard, have fun, and of course, make history! As a Senior
Supply Chain Engineer within Amazon Prime Air, you will lead
supplier performance and manufacturing readiness across multiple
product lines. You will drive scalable mechanisms that improve
quality, cost, and delivery, while influencing sourcing strategy,
design decisions, and supplier capability. Partnering closely with
engineering, quality, and operations, you will enable suppliers to
achieve rate, yield, and reliability targets—balancing Day 1
agility with the structure needed to scale Prime Air’s hardware
production globally. Export Control License: This position may
require a deemed export control license for compliance with
applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on
Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license
on your behalf. Key job responsibilities - Define supplier
performance strategy across Prime Air programs—driving quality,
cost, and delivery improvements through scalable mechanisms and
structured governance. - Influence sourcing strategies through
data-backed should-cost models and capability insights, shaping
long-term supply decisions. - Lead multi-supplier readiness and
rate-scaling initiatives, ensuring alignment to roadmap, capacity,
and launch objectives across product lines. - Govern complex
technical changes and manufacturing validations, ensuring design
intent, reliability, and rate readiness across multiple suppliers.
- Own cross-functional program integration, coordinating
engineering, quality, and operations deliverables to ensure
synchronized ramp and readiness milestones. - Establish global
supplier health and risk frameworks, driving standardization,
visibility, and accountability across the supply base. - Drive
systemic improvement programs that eliminate recurring issues and
raise overall supplier maturity. - Mentor and develop engineers and
partner teams, embedding scalable mechanisms and operational rigor
into daily execution. A day in the life Each day blends Day 1
innovation with disciplined execution. You’ll shift between solving
urgent supplier issues, building scalable mechanisms, and aligning
hardware production across teams. One hour you’re deep in yield
data or a cost model; the next, you’re on the factory floor driving
readiness. This role thrives in ambiguity—turning chaos into
structure, and structure into scalable systems that deliver
quality, cost, and schedule at speed. About the team Our team
thrives on collaboration, ownership, and technical excellence.
We’re a group of self-motivated leaders with deep manufacturing
expertise who take on complex challenges, work together to remove
obstacles, and deliver meaningful results at scale. - 5 years of
technical product or program management experience - 7 years of
working directly with engineering teams experience - Experience
managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes
and coordinating release schedules - Travel up to 25% domestic
travel with short (24hr) notice - Proven leadership in supplier
relationship management, including defining and governing SLAs,
performance scorecards, and escalation mechanisms across multiple
suppliers or programs. - Exceptional written and verbal
communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior
leaders, align cross-functional teams, and represent Supply Chain
Engineering in executive and supplier forums. - Ability to operate
with high autonomy in a global environment, including leading
onsite supplier engagements and executive reviews with minimal
direction - Experience managing projects across cross functional
teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release
schedules - Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive
multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- 7 years of experience in supplier management or manufacturing
engineering for aerospace, automotive, robotics, or high-precision
hardware. - Expertise developing and governing should-cost models,
using cost analytics to influence design strategy, sourcing
decisions, and long-term negotiation frameworks. Amazon is an equal
