Are you ready to GO WITH JOE? Snow Joe has an opening for a Site Director at our new Distribution facility in Lacey, WA. We are looking for an eager, passionate, knowledgeable, and helpful team player who is ready to take on new and exciting challenges. The Site Director will be responsible for building out and overseeing the day to day operations of our Distribution center located in Lacey, WA.Overview: The Site Director will lead all activities within the Distribution site to secure the overall performance, quality and lead times. This position will be responsible for building networks with several internal and external areas throughout the value chain to secure business value, customer satisfaction, and people development. The Site Director will be responsible for building out the Distribution Center, including planning layout, equipment, product flow, inventory storage, recruiting/retention and training and development of staff. The Distribution Center Site Director reports to the VP Operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Overall responsibility to direct performance for the Distribution operation to meet customer satisfaction, safety, cost, quality and environmental targets connected with business plan and financial targets. * Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. * Must have a working knowledge of UPS/FedEx/DHL software that can be utilized in a high volume receiving/shipping department including foreign and domestic shipments. * Manage daily facility workload planning and volume including forecasting, staff requirements as well as equipment/space needs. * Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. * Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. * Negotiates vendor contracts for new and existing accounts.* Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. * Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. * Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. * Trains new staff in assigned duties, or delegates training responsibility to experienced team member. Assess progress of trainees, and adds additional duties as appropriate. * Provides ongoing growth and development opportunities for team members* Maintains high degree of motivation in team members to retain focus of providing highest levels of customer satisfaction. * Ensures all team members are properly trained and efficient in the required information systems (including WMS systems) to meet company and client objectives.* Remain knowledgeable regarding changes in hardware and software technology.* Develop proficiency in client systems.SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS: * Logistics and supply chain management experience * Experience of at least 10 years in a fast- paced warehouse environment in a managerial role or higher. * Strong communication skills in both verbal and email. * Forklift certified Turret, VNA experience a plus * Flexible schedule and willing to work OT when needed to ensure all tasks are met daily. Establish priorities and ability to multi-task * Strong computer skills Excel, Word and Outlook. Intermediate skills preferred * Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or similar sales software * Extensive knowledge in FID- Handheld Scanner and excellent understanding of WMS* Lean Six Sigma and/or other process improvement training a plus* Experience with performance metrics, meeting daily goals and process improvements * Be able to pull ad-hoc reports when needed * Experience in warehouse scheduling and staffing based from workload forecast * OSHA knowledge a must
