Extra Shift Bonus Pay: In addition to time-and-a-half for overtime,
Nurse Aides who volunteer to work extra shifts can earn an
additional $3.75 an hour!

and shift coverage so that you can complete your LPN and/or RN

Equipment Used: Blood Pressure Gauge, Thermometer, Wheelchair,
Mechanical Lift Devices, and Gait Belt.

Duties and Responsibilities: Including but not limited to, the
following functions are considered essential to the CNA position.
Assistance may range from total, to partial, to stand by depending
upon physical and cognitive ability of resident.
Assist resident with all Activities of Daily Living - transfers,
positioning, bathing, grooming (hair, teeth, nails, general
hygiene), dressing, toileting, meals/nourishment, etc.
Take vital signs of residents, e.g., temperature, blood pressure,
pulse, and respiratory rate, weight, and record information.
Required to clean facility areas in absence of housekeeping (i.e.,
wet floor, trash disposal, common areas).
Maintain each bedside unit in neat and orderly condition and all
Make continuous observations of housekeeping and maintenance needs,
e.g., broken fixtures, burned out light bulbs, soiled,
floors/curtains, and report promptly.
Assist in assuring the maximum quality of life for all residents by
maintaining privacy, accommodating individual preference, promoting
independence, encouraging and assisting participation in facility
activities/events, and communicating respectfully at all times.
Respond promptly to all resident assistance requests.
Maintain continuous communication with Charge Nurse. Participate in
report; communicate all changes and unusual observation concerning
resident's physical and psycho-social functioning.
CNAs attend unit meetings as scheduled, all mandatory in-services
and optional in-services per individual needs and interest, for a
total of at least 12 hours annually. Outside educational offerings
may be substituted for optional in-service hours by providing proof
of attendance. Mandatory in-services cannot be substituted.
Other duties as assigned by the Lodge Nurse Supervisor on duty.
