Location: Lacey, WA 98503 (Thurston County) Healthcare Setting:
Outpatient Rheumatology Clinic Estimated Weekly Salary:
$6,230–$6,670 Schedule: 10 days/month (5 on/5 off, Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM); flexible 3-day week option for local providers
Start Date: As soon as credentialed (expedited privileges for clean
files) Assignment Type: Ongoing, long-term locum tenens contract
Patient Volume: Approximately 21 patient encounters per shift
Department Beds: 2 Rheumatology Physician Qualifications Board
Certification in Rheumatology (required) Completion of Rheumatology
Fellowship Minimum 1 year of experience as a practicing
rheumatologist Eligible for hospital privileges (required for
ordering infusions) Experience collaborating with pharmacy staff
for medication management Proficiency with intravenous therapies
Preferred skills: tissue biopsy, arthrocentesis, bone mineral
density studies Ability to start promptly after credentialing
(30–60 days estimated) Rheumatology Physician Responsibilities
Deliver outpatient rheumatology care to diverse patient populations
Work collaboratively with pharmacy staff for medication education
and management Order infusions at affiliated oncology clinic as
needed Perform tissue biopsies, arthrocentesis, and bone mineral
density studies (preferred) Manage approximately 21 patient
encounters per shift Participate in a supportive, team-based
