Job Summary and Responsibilities Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a full time board certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide hospitalist coverage to practice at our award winning St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. St. Joseph is a 385 bed Level II Trauma Center and serves as the flagship tertiary trauma care facility. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated Orthopedic Hospitalist Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team. The position entails providing comprehensive 24-hour coverage for 7 days within a 28-day cycle, accumulating to an annual commitment of 13 weeks. This part-time equivalent (0.5 FTE) schedule is meticulously designed to ensure a balanced workload while guaranteeing consistent, high-quality patient care. The surgeon will be fully supported by a skilled and collaborative team, including two dedicated physician assistants who will work in tandem to optimize efficiency and extend the reach of care. This collaborative model fosters a supportive environment, allowing the surgeon to focus on complex cases and critical decision-making, while the physician assistants provide essential assistance with patient management, pre- and post-operative care, and routine follow-ups. Compensation: Compensation Range: $391,511 - $391,512 /year (this includes b ase salary, with additional productivity incentive and excess call coverage pay) *The posted compensation range is a reasonable estimation in which CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
