SMX is seeking a Database Administrator to support a new contract.
Database Administrator will perform many related database functions
including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases,
backup/recovery and configuration management. Manage database
management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of
procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and
day-to-day maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Database Administrators applies technical expertise in the use and
configuration of DBMS and is qualified to perform such tasks
as:
Develop functional and technical database designs.
Define data and database requirements based on overall information
systems requirements.
Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products to support validated
user requirements.
Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures
for specific user applications.
Required skills and qualifications.
5+ years of technical experience supporting complex hosting
infrastructure programs (Cloud, on-prem, cybersecurity,
network).
Database Migration Service
Configuring the parameter group
Managing IP traffic using a security group
Evaluate and recommend available DBMS products to support validated
user requirements.
Define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures
for specific user applications.
