Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed storage systems. 3 years of experience developing distributed databases. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience with data lakes such as Apache Iceberg. Experience with distributed computing. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000-$300,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Design and implement storage components to support large-scale data processing for both Operational Support Systems (OSS) and BigQuery. Design and implement tests and experiments to evaluate and monitor the performance of the system. Use the full battery of tools and instrumentation to develop, test, and rollout features. Coordinate with product engineers, Program Managers (PM) and customers to grow the business.
