This position will be located in our Headquarters Building in Lacey, WA.The IT Systems Administrator Senior Specialist position is to provide advanced technical and administrative services for Ecology's investment in Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. This position is the primary technical lead overseeing the agency's Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. This role is responsible for monitoring, managing and advising ITSO and ITSO customers on the utilization, health and performance of the platform, establishing governance policies and procedures, and providing support and training to delegated admins who will work with systems hosted within.We are looking for someone who possesses excellent technical and technical troubleshooting skills. The mission of ITSO is to create and support useful technology services that adapt for the future andSection Mission: The Infrastructure and Operations (INO) section is focused on the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of Ecology's agency-wide technology platforms that all applications and services operate on. This section provides services to all staff in the areas of desktop technical support, Help Desk, wired and wireless networking, Regional Information Technology Services (RITS) for field site technology support, servers, storage, managed print services, and unified communications support and services. This position provides advanced technical support and systems administration for Ecology's Dynamics 365 platform and other cloud based services.Some of the key activities of the IT Systems Administrator Senior Specialist are:

• Serves as the Agency's highest level technical expert on the application and use of Microsoft's Dynamics 365 platform. Provides consultation and expertise to business customers, architects and technical staff and managers in the selection of features and integration of services with Ecology applications and platforms.
• Manages the details and processes for changes, releases, updates and enhancements of the MS Dynamics 365 platform, including reviewing and assessing release notes, determining and communicating change impacts, establishing test scenarios, criteria and environments, and working closely with business and technical staff to validate and deploy changes to production.
• Advises and participates with IT Leadership in the identification and development of related cloud platform strategies.
• Collaborates with other state agencies, including WaTech, as well as with PaaS and SaaS vendors and providers in establishing and implementing administrative processes and procedures, troubleshooting and diagnosing platform issues, and setting, monitoring and analyzing performance baselines.
• Collaborates with developers, integrators, and business partners for system enhancements and upgrades.
• Leads team members to troubleshoot and resolve Dynamics 365 issues.
• Provides guidance for system changes and enhancements.
• Identifies continuous improvement opportunities for assigned systems and processes.
• Creates user accounts, deletes accounts, creates/changes permissions by account; user profiles, page layouts, security in Dynamics 365.
• Applies IT governance practices, and assists IT Leadership with policy creation, enforcement and auditing for all Dynamic 365 and cloud platform investments.
• Designs, enhances, and develops SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.
• Provides end user training and assists users with day-to-day issues, problems and questions.This recruitment will remain open until filled. The initial screening will be October 26, 2020. The agency reserves the right to make an appointment any time after the initial screening date.Qualifications Required Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or closely related fieldANDThree (3) years of recent professional experience in one or more of the following IT disciplines: IT consultation, systems development, systems analysis, IT project management, server management, systems architecture, virtualization, server storage, system administration, or converged computer, Dynamics 365 Administration, O365 Administration, cloud based services management, web platform management, SaaS administration management. Experience must include one (1) year of leading IT professionals or consulting as a technical lead, and can be obtained concurrently to other professional experience listed above.ORAn Associate's degree in Computer Science, IT or closely related fieldANDFive (5) years of all recent professional experience requirements listed above.ORSeven (7) years of all recent professional experience requirements listed above.Desired Qualifications:
