The Mortgage Operations Team is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to be responsible for processing residential first mortgage loans. The Loan Processor is the liaison between the loan officer, borrower, underwriter, closer and funder. Responsible for reviewing and preparing the loan file to ensure accuracy and completion of supporting documents, as well as compliant with underwriting and investor guidelines. Effectively manages pipeline and processing cycle times to ensure timely loan closings. Timely and thorough communication and coordination to resolve any issues creating delays of closing. Consistently meets production and quality metrics. Your day might include:Providing the initial loan quality review for Loan Officers; and, providing a feedback loop and training as neededAssisting with clearing loan conditions prior to requesting closing documentsVerifying and updating accuracy of data input into LOS systemOrdering and reviewing all third party documentation, including credit checks, title reports, appraisals, flood certifications, tax returns, verifications of employment/assets, to identify and address potential issuesCheck debt ratios and loan to value ratios; verifying accuracy of AUS findings and program applicabilityReviewing data to ensure it meets established standards and regulatory compliance requirementsMaintaining a detailed account of all loans in the pipeline and ensures files are moving through the process in a timely manner to meet anticipated funding datesCommunicating with members, Realtors, staff and various third party vendors to expedite file processingReviewing and verifying documentation integrity to ensure it aligns with findings, completeness, and compliance; submitting loan files to underwriting for approvalSubmitting loan file for initial and final underwriting approval What you bring to the team:Two years' experience in residential lending with current working knowledge of Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac guidelinesAbility to troubleshoot complex mortgage loan file scenarioAbility to be registered with the NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry)Analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in written correspondenceExcellent computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office productsExperience and efficiency with MS Office software products, experience with loan origination systems, and real estate calculatorsHigh level of initiative to produce accurate work in a high pressured, fast-paced, deadline driven environment Bonus Points if you have:Bachelor's degreeCurrent working knowledge or understanding of FHA/VA guidelinesPrior mortgage experience as closer and/or funder2 years' experience as a mortgage processorExperience processing or closing loans with a LOS Competitive pay: $23.90 $35.85 per hour, plus an excellent benefits package!
